Who Are We?
This isn’t a one-man-band community. The Podcast Host ltd. is a UK based business with a team of 4 staff and a network of contractors. The business earns it’s crust through our own range of shows, monetised through affiliate marketing, sponsorship and advertising. We also work with a select group of clients to help them grow their own shows.
Our full team will contribute, but the community is mostly supported by these two suspects:
Colin Founded ThePodcastHost.com and has been teaching people how to podcast since 2007. He’s worked with Universities, businesses and hobbyists alike and started The Podcast Host to help as many people as possible get into Podcasting.
Colin writes, teaches and speaks internationally about all things media content. He’s also earned a PhD in digital education along the way. These days, he Podcasts through Podcraft and the Mountain Bikes Apart podcast. Who doesn’t like to talk bikes, after all!
Matthew is the head of audio production at The Podcast Host, taking care of client podcasts and our own shows alike.
His background is in audio drama and can mostly be seen glued to a behemoth 30-track Audition session, tweaking sound effects, background music and a host of actor vocals.
He’s also an award winning podcaster thanks to his work on the Audio Drama Production podcast, which supports the entire Fiction Podcasting community
“As someone who literally had no idea how to go about starting a podcast I am so glad I found Colin! If I hadn’t signed up for the producer Package then I know I would have become completely overwhelmed and would never have managed to bring my podcasting plans to fruition. I’m going to be honest and say that I worried about the monthly cost but I can safely say that it is indeed money well spent. The time I have saved trying to learn to do all of the things that Colin took off my hands has been spent creating good content and building my platform. Colin and the team have a great system going. Everything is streamlined and easy and the team are there as a mentor throughout. If you want to concentrate on creating great content for your show, then get The Podcast Host (within FanFission!) to worry about everything else!”

Just to let you know too, we know that sometimes the timing just isn’t right for you. You don’t want to leave, exactly, but it’s just not your moment. There’s no point paying for your membership during that time.
Because of that, we have the option for you to pause your membership, for however long you need to. You don’t even need to contact us to do it either. Just go to your dashboard and click the link to put your membership on hold. Then when you’re ready to return, you can come back and restart the payments to reinstate your access. Simple!
